Prop Crew
As a prop crew volunteer, you will help move props and drum major stands from the trucks to the staging area and assist students in getting everything onto the field.
You will watch the performance from the sidelines—truly one of the best views in the house. After the show, you will help students move the props off the field and return them to the staging area or trucks.
For football games, volunteers typically meet at the trucks at the end of the first quarter to move props to the sidelines, and then finish up after the halftime performance.
For competitions, volunteers usually meet about 30 minutes before students head to warm-up (approximately 90 minutes before performance time). At some venues with hills or longer distances, you may also help push pit instruments to and from the warm-up area.
Your role concludes after the performance once everything is returned to the trucks.
Fingerprinting is not required for this role.
