Section Parent
As a section parent, you become one of the trusted, familiar adults supporting a specific group of students throughout the marching season.
You cheer your section on, encourage them, and help create a positive, connected experience for everyone involved.
Section parents often help by checking in with section leaders during long days, and being a friendly, reliable presence at games and competitions.
Many section parents like to organize an occasional fun treat, small good-luck note, or simple activity to boost morale before a performance.
You might also help coordinate communication among section families, celebrate birthdays or milestones, assist new parents in understanding how events work, and help students feel supported and included.
Your role is less about logistics and more about encouragement, connection, and team spirit—helping your section feel confident, cared for, and ready to perform.
Fingerprinting is not required for this role.
