The Rampart High School Winter Guard is a competitive color guard that currently travels to perform within the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association circuit. Winter Guard is an indoor, competitive, performance-based activity which incorporates choreographed staging, dance, and manipulation of equipment such as flags and prop rifles and sabres. The Rampart High School Winter Guard has earned eight state championships over several different classes. Rehearsals occur outside of school hours and typically begin at the end of November and continue through the competition season, until early April.
Rampart High School Winter Percussion is a competitive percussion ensemble that currently travels to perform within the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association circuit. Winter Percussion is an indoor, competitive, performance-based activity which typically incorporates music being played on drumline and front ensemble instruments, choreographed staging, and marching in formations. The Rampart High School Winter Percussion ensemble has consistently earned placement at the RMPA, Colorado State competitions over the years. Rehearsals occur outside of school hours and typically begin at the end of November and continue through the competition season, until early April.
The Rampart Pep Band Ensemble is made up of students from across the Rampart High School Instrumental Music program. This ensemble plays at various events, as identified and coordinated by the Band Directors in support of athletic and assembly activities. The Rampart High School Pep Band provides entertainment and creates enthusiasm in the crowd.
The Rampart Pit Orchestra provides accompaniment to the student performers in the Rampart High School Spring Musical, as coordinated by the Band Directors and the Theatre Department.
Chamber Music Ensembles at Rampart High School are student-led small ensembles that study, rehearse and play Chamber music. The Chamber Music ensembles differ from year-to-year, depending on student’s proactive establishment of the ensemble. Rampart High School has featured Saxophone Choir, Clarinet Choir, and Brass Quintet in the past.
